Saving Sex for Marriage

1. "Love is Patient" - 32 minute DVD. "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always preserves. Love never fails." 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a Sexual intimacy is a gift from God to be enjoyed within marriage. But choosing to maintain sexual purity is difficult for young people, especially in today´s society. Young people need to know the many benefits of maintaining sexual purity: It strengthens character. It builds self-control. It protects body, mind, and spirit. It is an expression of love for God, others, and self. The young people and counselors on Love is Patient share this message from their personal testimonies, letting viewers know that sexual abstinence before marriage is God´s expectation for all of us, and that He will give us the grace to do it.

2.  "Sex, Love, relationships"  - 135 minute DVD.  Teenagers have been betrayed! They have not been told the whole truth about the consequences of sexual activity, experimentation and permissiveness. Teenagers love Pam Stenzel because she tells it to them straight, mincing no words in showing how the pervasive sexual permissiveness of our culture is a deceptive trap. Program 1:  42 minutes- Physical cost

PAM'S BIO: Pam Stenzel is the founder and director of Straight Talk, an organization established for the purpose of educating teens about issues of sexuality and the importance of chastity. She has spoken with over 500,000 teenagers across the nation on the subjects of teen pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases and AIDS. After reading response sheets filled out by teens who have attended her assemblies, it is obvious that they not only listened but have taken Pam's message to heart.

Pam received her degree in psychology from Liberty University. Prior to going into speaking full-time, she was the Director of Alpha Women's Center, a non-profit, counseling center for women experiencing crisis pregnancies. Pam put her education and experience to work counseling pregnant teens and supervising support programs for teen parents and for women who chose adoption.

4.  "Teen Relationships and Sexual Pressure"  -  75 minute VHS.  This video presents a Christian perspective on sex and reveals to teens the reasons for pre-marital abstinence. It focuses not only on the physical, but also reveals the male/female perspective on the emotional and relation and relational benefits from living according to the Biblical truths on sexuality.

5.  "Hard Questions, Straight Answers about Sex and Relationships"  -  VHS.  At a recent seminar for high school students dealing with sex and relationships from a Christian perspective, Jason Evert, M.A. took the guys aside (25 minutes) and Ellen Marie, M.S., took the girls aside (29 minutes) for separate sessions where participants could ask any question they wanted related to this important subject area.
The answers given are as candid as the questions but full of understanding and respect for the struggles of young people today.

6.  "Sex as God's Gift"  -  3 hrs. 2 VHS tapes.  This six-part series has been developed for 14- and 15-year-olds to prepare them for the sexual decisions they will face. The series features Mary Ronan, a registered nurse who has worked with teens for over ten years. Mary is a gifted communicator who helps prepare young teens to think through major choices, especially those dealing with love, sex and relationships.

7. "Sex, Lies, and the Truth" - 30 minute VHS. Kirk Cameron and Chelsea Noble, along with other entertainers and celebrities, communicate the life-saving message: waiting isn't a sign of weakness. The viewer comes face to face with the realities of unwanted pregnancies, STDs and AIDS. Real life situations are presented.

8. "It Ain't Worth it" - 25 minute VHS.  When it comes to sexual activity, nothing "just happens."  For this reason, teens must be ready to deal with high pressure situations and be able to make the smart and safe decision -- not to have sex.  "It Ain't Worth it" is a music/documentary video featuring professional athletes talking straight about the potential hazards of pre-marital sex and the advantage of abstinence.  Its exciting style and informative content make it the perfect tool for young people in the fight against peer pressure, sexually transmitted infections and other problems they must overcome.

9.  "No Apologies:  The Truth about Life, Love and Sex"  -  30 minute VHS.  This video gives young people a side of the story they don't always hear:  it's their side - straight up with no sugar-coating or reservations.  It's teens talking to teens about life, love and sex.  With gripping testimonials from real people their own age - and from others looking back - teens hear how individuals like themselves have been affected by choices of pre-marital sex and abstinence.  Hosted by actor Austin O'Brien, this powerful, hope-filled expose' delivers an unforgettable message about strength, courage and character - revealing the importance of waiting until marriage to have sex, and uncovering what happens when teens don't.

10. "Teens and Sex" - 30 minute VHS.  Molly Kelly, mother of six sons and two daughters, presents facts and "tells it like it is." Despite what some people think, young people want to learn about sexual abstinence and chastity. Teens want factual information and not false promises.

11. "Sex and Love:  What's a Teenager to Do?" - 60 minute VHS.  What's a teenager to do?" Mary Beth Bonacci talks to teens about the do's of chastity. Using humorous down to earth examples from teenage life, she shows that chastity is more than just abstinence- chastity is active. It's about loving the right way.

12. "Wait for Me" - 28 minutes.  When newcomer Johnny meets someone totally out of this world, the party he's at turns into a mine field of questions -- and choices. This honest and highly entertaining film looks at the decisions every teen needs to make about sex. It deals with the issues from a teenager's perspective.

1. "Masquerade" - 30 minute VHS.  Dramatic expose that reveals the devastating consequences of drugs and alcohol. Intriguing drama, heart-wrenching interviews and personal experiences of Milton Creagh. Exposes the "casual use" myth that many people hide behind.

Life on the Edge - Preparing for the Challenges of Adulthood

1. "Finding God's Will for Your Life"- 52 minute VHS. This video will help young adults develop a critical skill they will need for the rest of their lives--making decisions within the will of God. Dr. Dobson shows them how to accept responsibility along with their new-found freedom.

2. "The Myth of Safe Sex"- 52 minute VHS. In this compelling presentation Dr. Dobson exposes the safe-sex myth, discusses its potentially deadly consequences (unwanted pregnancy, damaged emotions and AIDS), and makes a convincing case for abstinence.

3. "Love Must be Tough" - 53 minute VHS. Based on the best selling book of the same title, Dr. Dobson reminds young adults that genuine love must be tough (firmly rooted in respect, confidence and courage) to survive the stresses of today's would.
