Choosing Healthy Options
In Christ Especially with Sex
(C.H.O.I.C.E.S.) |
|
We are excited about this special
abstinence-based presentation to the youth of our area. Last year
our staff gave this presentation to several youth groups with good
reviews. One of the key aspects of the presentation is information
out of the book entitled Hooked: New science on How Casual Sex
is Affecting our Children. Our
staff would love to share this presentation with your group...let us
know how. |

Master's Open Golf Tournament
 |
Our tournament will be played on
Saturday, June 18 at the Princeton Elks Golf Club.
Registration begins at 8am and tournament play begins with a shotgun
start at 9am. We play 18 holes of captain's choice. The
tournament is made up of foursomes.
The tournament fee/foursome is a minimum of
$400. Since this is a fundraiser for the Abel Center, many teams
will raise funds for the center that exceed the entry fee amount.
They do this by asking friends, family members and businesses to sponsor
them with a pledge. If you'd like
to register a team for this year's tournament, just call Dwain, our
tournament co-coordinator, at 304-325-2000. You will then receive
a packet of information that will give you all the details of the
tournament. |

Baby
Bottle Blessings
 |
Baby Bottle Blessings (BBB) kicks off in
conjunction with Sanctity of Human Life Day, January 22, 2012; although some churches,
schools and community organizations participate throughout the year.
Actually, one good idea is what some churches do - they will make their
baby bottles available on Mother's Day and then collect them on Father's
Day.
We currently
have over 1471 bottles distributed throughout the community. If
your organization would like to participate, just give us a call. We'll
supply you with baby bottles. All you have to do is hand them out
to the members or your church or organization to fill with their loose
change, bills or a check. Our goal is to distribute 1800 baby
bottles into the community this year. Thanks for your help!! |
