Facing an unplanned pregnancy can be a lonely, overwhelming experience. We know that many women feel anger, fear, confusion, regret, anxiety, panic, and/or rejection after finding out they are pregnant.
You are not alone in your feelings. Friends and family may also find themselves struggling to understand and accept your pregnancy. We offer you and them emotional and spiritual support, friendship, a shoulder to cry on, a listening ear, and compassionate help.

It takes courage to call; please do!
"I had my beautiful son Andrew on
February 10. It's funny how stuff works out. You
know, I also called the Charleston Women's Center to look
into an abortion the same day I called the Abel Center.
i thank God every day I made the right choice. It's
been rough but I know that God has blessed me and will
continue to do so. Thanks so much for the services you
guy's provide. I've also been to the Center, since my
first visit, to attend one of the Earn While You Learn
classes. If I can be of any assistance with another
girl who may be contemplating abortion, please let me know.
I now have three children, am a single mother, work, and
just finished my degree at Bluefield State College (while
nine months pregnant LOL). I had my first child at
fifteen, so I can relate in many ways. Thank you all
for all of your assistance.
God Bless, Anonymous
"When I came to the Center, I was scared and nervous. I didn't know what to expect. I was surprised to find that instead of being rushed through a system, I was treated as an individual. The staff took the time to talk to me about my concerns and share the resources that they have with me. When I left, my mind was at ease." . . .
