Walk for Life 2008

Would you consider being a Walk for Life Promoter to your church by getting a team of walkers from your church to participate in this year’s Walk for Life?

Dear Abel Center Walk for Life promoter,

The Abel Center is a Christian outreach ministry into Mercer, McDowell, Tazewell, and Bland Counties that is:

-- encouraging and helping women to choose physical life for their unborn children

-- declaring the Gospel of Jesus Christ

-- promoting sexual & emotional purity for a lifetime

-- providing support to and Bible study materials for post-abortive women & men.

Would you please help to keep this mission alive throughout our communities by encouraging your church & friends to participate in the upcoming Walk for Life Walkathon fundraiser on Saturday, October 18, 2008?

Please use the information at this wed site to advertise in church bulletins, newsletters, or hang as posters. Verbal announcements would also be effective in promoting this event.

Those who want to participate should be given a pledge form (available by calling the Abel Center). Each walker will then gather pledges from as many people as possible. Sunday School classes and youth groups may want to use this opportunity to raise pledges as a missions project for the Center.

If you need more sponsor forms, either make copies at your church or call the Abel Center at 325-2000 and I'll get more of them to you immediately.

$27,000 is this year's Walk for Life goal! Thank you for all that you will do to help us reach this goal!!

I'm excited to see how God will use this fundraiser event not merely to raise money for the Abel Center  but how He will provide opportunities for all of us to declare His power and strength to this generation during this process and as a result of the Walk for Life.
